WELCOME MEMBERS TO THE CLUBS FIRST CONTEST!!

The 's first contest will be what is called a puppy match.(based off of AKC sanctioned puppy match) Since the club is relatively new we decided to start club contest at the beginning just as new breeders have to start at the beginning. Usually the beginning of becoming a breeder is training and showing your first show puppy and expanding your kennel as you grow in experience. Now we all know you cant just stick a leash on a puppy’s neck and trot it around the ring expecting it to show like a champ. What most of the public doesn’t get to see is the training and effort that is put into the pups before they even turn 6 months old. One of the ways to train puppies for dog shows and gain the experience of an actual show is going to a puppy match. A puppy match is like a "play day" for puppies between the ages of 3 months old and 6 months old simulating what will be expected in the actual show ring. In a puppy match, you will be showing like you would in the real show ring but here you are encouraged to make it as fun and less stressful as possible for the puppy to make it a positive experience. Now that "what" is a puppy match has been explained lets go over the rules.

Prizes:
Best in Show:
A colored drawing imitating the style of photo you would receive at a real dog show. EX: Your dog standing show style with the judge and his awards. Or you can request a piece with your dog in it.
Best in Group:
There are 7 AKC Groups. We will have more due to the wild canine category. This winner will receive a drawn and colored Stacked Photo imitating of their dog with judge and prizes.

Rules:
* no photos will be accepted
* only canine subjects in your artworks (no other animals except canines are allowed to be entered into the puppy match)
* puppies must be between the ages 3 months and 6 months (please specify age of puppy or puppies in artwork description)
*all canines must be a given a name
*No mystical or magical canines can be entered.
* Since the club allows all breeds of dogs and wild species into the club, there will be category made up for breeds/species that are not AKC accepted.

* The categories are:
AKC registered breeds
---------------------------------------- --------------------------
AKC FSS class (also known as misc.class)
( dogs that are not eligible to show in a actual AKC function but are supported by AKC to keep breeds bloodline pure. and after a period of time AKC may allow breeds from the FSS class to become a registered breed.

And the last class is for the wild canines, we'll call it the WCS (wild canine species)
this includes: foxes, wolves, jackals, dingoes, african wild dogs, fennecs, and any other un tamed, un changed wild canine species.

Things that we are looking for in the entries.
* A good representation of the breed (meaning we can figure out what breed it is without being told)
* personality of the breed is presented
*general personality of a puppy is presented
